Granite.Fit
Granite.Fit is a welcoming, community-driven gym offering a wide variety of fitness classes and personal training services. Despite their commitment to inclusion and community spirit, their social media presence did not reflect this, and they were missing opportunities to grow and connect with their audience.
My Role
As the outsourced marketing manager, I was responsible for the gym’s entire marketing output, not just social media. This included designing print collateral, running promotional campaigns, working with local media and press, ordering branded merchandise, and writing member stories and health-related blog content.
Key Challenges & Solutions
- Small Team, Limited Time: The internal team didn’t have the capacity or skills to maintain consistent output.
→ I introduced scheduling tools and a tailored content calendar to maintain consistency and maximise impact.
Misconception as a Bodybuilding Gym: Many assumed the gym catered only to bodybuilders, deterring some demographics.
→ I created inclusive content featuring female members, group classes, and family-friendly events to shift perception. - Lack of Engagement & Promotion: They weren’t effectively using social media to promote their services or engage with members.
→ Rolled out competitions, giveaways, interactive posts, and community-led campaigns to boost involvement. - Desire for Better Content: They wanted to post reels, stories, and other media-rich formats but didn’t know how.
→ I produced a wide range of content including video workouts, testimonials, behind-the-scenes clips, and event coverage.
